Welcome to Sharks Aussie Hoops
What is Aussie Hoops?
Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program for 5-10 year olds and their families. The national program provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation. Aussie Hoops introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment that connects our game at the grassroots through to the elite level. Our national coaching curriculum and sequentially-developed program consists of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games all delivered by accredited coaches.
The participant kit will include:

Size 4 Spalding Basketball – Modified to suit smaller hands and modelled on Basketball Australia’s official game ball.

Personalised Aussie Hoops Singlet – With your child’s name and Local Aussie Hoops delivery centre logo.
Program Information
When: 10am - 10.45am Sunday's during the school term.
Where: The Geelong Arena, 110 Victoria Street North Geelong (Baxter Road Carpark Entrance).
Age: Recommended for 4 - 10 year olds
Cost: ~$82.99 for new participants (including participant pack) and ~$40 for returning participants. Participants sign-up on a term by term basis.
Some participants only need 1 term before joining a team. Others will remain with Sharks Aussie Hoops for two years - each child is different.
