Junior Basketball Information
Junior completions are played on Monday through to Saturday, depending on your age group, as follows:
Monday: U12 Boys & U14 Boys
Tuesday: U14 Girls, U16 Girls & U19 Girls
Wednesday: U16 Boys & U18 Boys
Thursday: U12 Girls, U20 Boys & U23 Boys
Saturday: U8 Boys & Girls, U10 Boys & Girls, U12 Boys.
Games are generally played at the AWA Alliance Bank Stadium in Belmont, the Geelong Arena in North Geelong, the Leisuretime Sports Precinct in Corio, Grovedale College and Oberon High School.
Before making the commitment to our club, we believe it is important to outline the costs associated with playing basketball in the Geelong United Basketball League.
Details are as follows:
Basketball Australia Game Devlopment Levy: $5.50 per annum
Basketball Victoria Participant Licence: $29 per annum.
Geelong United Registration Fee: $67.15 per season.
Sharks Basketball Club Fee: $50 per season.
Club fees cover training facility costs, competition fees (team entry, fines, etc) and presentation day.
Before taking the court, all players must complete the registration form and make all relevant payments. Players must register by Sunday 24th September to guarantee themselves a spot in a team, all registrations after this date will be subject to team availability.
Geelong United Game Fee (Paid at Every game played): $12.72
Sharks Basketball Club Uniform (one-off): $90 (reversible singlet & shorts)
We have training at the Geelong Arena (110 Victoria Street, North Geelong) on Sundays. Times will vary according to age group.
