Competition Update
Senior competition recommenced this week and juniors will be back on court commencing this Monday, 24 January.
There will be no games on Wednesday 26 January, so U16 & U18 Boys have to wait another week before their games are back underway.
We have also reviewed our training schedule for the remainder of the Summer season and the times for some age groups have changed. The new schedule commencing Sunday 23 January is as follows:

Aussie Hoops—Term 1 Registrations now open
Looking to get your child into basketball but not sure if they are ready for competition games yet. Why not enroll them in the Sharks Aussie Hoops program.
Aussie Hoops is a 6 week introductory program to basketball for children age 5 to 10 years.
The program focusses on basic skill development in a fun and engaging environment.
This also includes our new ALL STAR program to help those that are ready, transition into regular competition basketball.
New participants receive a spalding basketball and personalised singlet.
Cost is $75 for new participants or $25 returning.

The Aussie Hoops packs normally take 10-14 days to arrive. With current postage delays, this could take longer - don’t worry we can lend you a basketball until your child’s ball arrives!
Children are welcome to come and try at the first session - but please register interest via email to ensure we have enough coaches available geelongsharks.aussiehoops@gmail.com
Under 12 Girls Needed
Do you know any girls born in 2011 or 2012 who are keen to play basketball? Our Under 12 Girls team urgently needs a couple more girls for this Summer season.
Registration costs for both Geelong United ($30 usually $60) and Sharks ($15 usually $40) have been reduced for mid-season registrations.

Ironman 70.3 Geelong 2022
The 2022 IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong event is being held at Steam Packet Gardens on Sunday 20 February, 2022.
The event is currently looking for volunteers who might like to get involved. There are a number of volunteer roles available across the four days of the event, from Thursday 17th until Sunday 20th.
